Probably not: But be watchful of any unususal symptoms.

Don't be alarmed: 450 mg of Zoloft (sertraline) can cause some unpleasant side effects including stomach upset, restlessness. You shouldn't have to worry about serious side effects with this one high dose but pay close attention to how you feel and go to the emergency department if you feel worse. Let your prescriber know what happened and use a pill box to keep track of your daily dosing.

Probably ok: Not sure how you managed that. The maximum dose for zoloft (sertraline) is 200 mg - you imply that you are usually on 250 mg. I also worry that this was not necessarily an accident. While you are probably ok from this one-time error, it's important that you let your prescribing physician know about it and can tailor your prescription refills if needed.

Probably not, but:: If a patient accidentally takes twice the therapeutic dose of an SSRI's like Zoloft, (sertraline) it is unlikely they will experience side effects or become ill, as SSRI's are rather safe in accidental overdose. Taking up to 30 times the therapeutic dose usually produces few side effects. However to be on the safe side you should call your physician or the Poison Control Center to confirm this information.
