Tenderness?: Sounds like you may have chostochondritis an inflammation of the cartilages joining your reibs to your breastbone. This is also called Tse+Tse's Syndrome after the Doctor who described it. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH REFLUX..and in fact YOU CANNOT "FEEL" your esophgas from the outside. Try applying heat and taking Ibuprofen (with milk to avoid aggravating your reflux) Hope this helps Dr Z
