Compression wrap: If the strain is minor, you may use a compression sleeve or wrap around the thigh. You may also apply an icy hot product prior to activity and do a proper warm up. An NSAID such as Ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen) prior to activity will help with reduction of inflammation. Ice after activity. If it is a more serious strain it would be a good idea to give it a rest or else you can make it worse.
