A member asked:

Once a bone has been fractured, is it easier to fracture it again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: Mainly depends on your age and health. If a healthy 12 year old fractures a bone and it is treated correctly-it will heal perfectly. But if an elderly patient with osteoporosis and who smokes fractures a bone they are high likelihood of not healing (nonunion) and therefore would technically fracture easily through the nonunion site.
