Probably: Tizanidine (Zanaflex) is a well tested muscle relaxant. It may cause dizzy ness or lowering of blood pressure so be careful when changing positions from lying to standing. There is more compelling literature on Skelaxin (metaxalone) specifically in the treatment of low back pain. In my experience, Zanaflex works best in the small muscles of the neck, while Skelaxin (metaxalone) better in low back pain.
