A member asked:

My father is blind due to glaucoma in his eyes because of his diabetes. any surgical options?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Diabetes, glaucoma: Hi. Diabetes does not cause glaucoma. Diabetes causes retinal diseases and glaucoma is an eye pressure disease. There may be surgical options for both, but if he's already blind, it's probably too late. His ophthalmologist will know and advise. Talk to the eye doc. Good luck to your Pops.
