My neighbor has shingles and her doctor said not be be around anyone. i had the shingles vaccine. is it safe to visit her?

Yes: I think her doc went overboard. Shingles is not as contagious as chickenpox, since it does not spread in the patients cough or saliva.Only the debris from the sores could transmit the virus, and simple hand washing and covering the defect can prevent spread. You would not be at risk.
