Nadir: Term infants generally reach a nadir (low) hemoglobin around 9 months, about the time when maternal stores of iron have been depleted. Timing of this drop varies some with premature babies and degree of drop may be more dramatic if mother was anemic during pregnancy . Although not technically considered anemic at 10.5, it may drop further over the next several weeks.

7 months: If your baby is 7 months old, a diet includes fortified rice cereal and sources of dietary iron. The full lab report may be uploaded for review by HT during a virtual consultation. Watch for signs of bleeding and easy bruising, but very often this is a normal finding at this age.
