A member asked:

My niece has these very itchy and hot rashes all over her body, expecially on her face. is it scarlett fever?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe, maybe not: This would occur within 12 hours or so of an established infection with some strains of group A strep in one of several possible sites. The rash seldom appears without fever, and usually starts in the bathing trunk area and axilla. There is often a pale area around the mouth.Without an exam by a doc, this is all just speculation. Many other things cause rasher over the body.
