Get a consult: This is sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim, an antibiotic combination. It's not appropriate as monotherapy and is not the best long-term choice. Topical benzoyl peroxide or retinoic acid is the basic Rx for acne, and an antibiotic used for a while if the disease is severe and doesn't clear on topical Rx.
