Ask your doc!: Seriously! It's always best to ask your doc why s/he is prescribing a specific drug. You didn't mention your gender but testosterone replacement therapy is used to treat those w/hypogonadism (low testosterone) which can manifest as loss of sex drive/energy/concentration or as depression, fatigue, change in body composition. We typically avoid oral T b/c liver side effects compared to cream or shot

Your doctor: Should never give oral testosterone. It can adversely affect HDL-good-cholesterol!
