No: not in the true sense of what addiction means (and doesn't mean). People use it as a term for anything they may like to do, or to compulsive behaviors, but it is a specific term with specific meanings. Crying can be cathartic - help us get rid of bad feelings, and as such that can be a good thing. You list hopelessness as a "condition" but it's depression and need treatment asap.See doctor asap

Loss: Crying is the body's way of trying to cope with heartbreak. Sadness slows us down to reflect on what we have just experienced and gives us the opportunity to put our loss in perspective. Best.

How come i don't cry or get sad when someone passes away? Is there something wrong with me?

Sadness: Often people don't cry in the face of a loss because they are too scared to experience their vulnerability. Discuss your experience with those close to you, try to be open as possible and it is likely the feelings will emerge. Also use the free anti anxiety app as the free videos address the value of being able to experience sadness. My best.

Need to find out: Crying is normal and everyone engages in it. It is more likely to occur when we are stressed. It depends on how distressing it is to you; and how often it occurs, as to whether or not it is a problem. You wrote in this question, so i assume your tearfulness causes you some type of distress. Proper diagnosis and treatment is needed. Start with your primary doctor and talk about it with them.
