Ask yourself: Is it something that directly affects your kids or will affect them in a future? What is the purpose of you telling them --to let it out of your chest and make yourself feel better (then might be counseling is a better option). Sometime we just have to sit on things that we have done in the past -- if it bothers you seek counseling to guide through the decision-making.
