Rule out allergy: The nose produces 1000 ml. of mucus daily. Therefore, the mucus is directed to the back of the nose normally. You may just be aware of this mucus or you may have additional mucus production secondary to allergic rhinitis or allergy of the nasal mucosa. The stuffiness and runny nose are also consistent with nasal allergy. Advice is to consult an allergist.
