Lots of things: cause orange nails. Excessive amount of carotenes (from eating lots of carrots), fungal nail infections, microtrauma, hepatitis ... just to name some. If the orange hue on your nailbeds enhance, become more orange, over time, you should definitely visit your physician to get some metabolic testing done. If the orange hue clears up, probably just a passing thing.
