Depends how long you: have been taking suboxone. If you've taken it for more than a few weeks, the blood levels should remain therapeutic at steady state for up for five half lives of the drug (the 1/2 life is 24-42 hours). If you just started, it's shorter. Let your doctor know also, so s/he can assist monitoring you. It has a short elimination life, meaning the shorter you've been on it, the faster it's eliminated.

Should be ...: Buprenorphine levels should remain therapeutic for 24 to 36 hours. The other issue for your recovery will be to develop a routine that can help you to not run out in the future. Good luck!

Suboxone duration: The length of time for a 2 mg dose depends on several factors, so it is a bit hard to say for sure. Often, one missed day or so doesn't make the patient go into withdrawal symptoms. I wonder why you ran out early and if perhaps you should be prescribed a higher dose. It is important you discuss openly and honestly all of this issue, so your physician can best provide for your needs. Good luck!
