A member asked:

Will a cell blood count test diagnose scabies and pubic lice i read on the internet that scabies come out from the pores from the nose?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Skin scrapings: Scabies is generally diagnosed by the history and appearance of the skin, confirmed with a skin scraping and microscopic examination. Pubic lice can be visualized by the naked eye for diagnosis. A CBC would likely be unhelpful in determining these sorts of problems. Scabies live under the skin of any part of the body, usually spots that are protected (in skin folds, under the waist band, etc.)
