A member asked:

If plan b is taken a week before expected period and then again a day or two before expected period, can it delay your period?

No: It won't necessarily delay your period but it will cause you to have irregular and unpredictable bleeding. It is not designed to delay periods and so should not be used for that. If you are using it for contraception and have to use it that often, you are being risky. Get started on a more reliable method of contraception.Good luck.

Agree w Dr David.: Emergency contraceptives are not designed to delay or induce periods. However, their use may affect bleeding.
