Ocular floaters: are composed mainly of protein that are part of the vitreous gel inside of the eye. Currently the main treatments for these are either a vitrectomy (surgery) to remove the vitreous gel from inside the eye, or laser treatment (YAG laser) called vitreolysis. These are proven methods and have worked well for certain patients. Unfortunately, there is no other medically proven treatment at this time.

Acupuncture: Traditional Chinese medicine providers report that strengthening kidney and liver Qi can help eye health (to include floaters). As an acupuncturist, I have not treated ophthalmological problems - so I can not comment on efficacy. I am not qualified to comment on the use of medicinal herbs.
