Sensitivity to light: after cataract surgery can be due to excessive dryness of the ocular surface (cornea), sensitivity to light due to greatly improved light transmission to the eye or even continued intro-ocular inflammation from the surgery. Have your ophthalmologist look a the eye with a slit lamp and he/she will be able to identify the cause.

Sensitive to light: Sensitivity to light after cataract surgery is usually due to post-operative inflammation. Steroid eye drops decrease this. Rebound inflammation may occur after steroids are tapered. See your eyeMD if sensitivity to light still present. If there is no inflammation, could be due to type of implant placed or blue colored iris. More info: eyedoc2020 blogspot com
