Sore throat: Most likely not, when you have mononucleosis, you have significantly enlarged inflamed tonsil with generally a pus discharge, and are acutely ill in the first week. It sound like you might have strep or a coxsackie virus which is less dramatic. A strep does require antibiotics, so see your doctor asap.
