Heart burn: trearment of heart burn should focus on not eating any heavy food that is cooked with oil. Try to drink a lot of cold water. Try mylanta or Prilosec over the counter. It will help some.

Not quickly: Tums (calcium carbonate) and Rolaids (Calcium carbonate) are the fastest treatment for heartburn, but wear off the quickest (which is why u have to take them w/ each meal). Other options like Zantac (Ranitidine) & Prilosec (Omeprazole) have to be taken routinely for 1 wk b4 it "builds up" to provide relief. IMO, Omeprazole is stronger than Ranitidine.
