A member asked:

Why are my ears popping every couple of miles in the air?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Air pressure: It has to do with changes in air pressure and the connection between the middle ear space and the back of your nose which is where the eustachian tube connects the 2. Chewing gum, yawning or trying to gently blow your nose while blocking the nasal passages can help. As it will help to equalize the pressure. The popping you feel is the pressure equalizing and is normal.
