A member asked:

Our gh-deficient son was on gh til 17, but it it is not given to him anymore.he is still small. will he grow disproportionately continuing on our own?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Needs bone age: With GH therapy your son should have achieved the height he is genetically expected to reach. If he is not there yet, it is important to have a bone age xray and determination of ongoing growth potential demonstrated by absence of fusion of growth plates. Based on these results, he may need to restart GH.
