Teething ring: Chill a teething ring, not completely frozen, but cold and this can be soothing for baby while cutting teeth. Next month baby will be old enough for a dose of motrin when teething symptoms really flare! Best of luck!

Teething: Making sure the teeth are clean and free from plaque decreases the risk of developing pain and inflammation/bleeding in the gums when teeth are erupting. There are some over the counter analgesics available, but be careful you read the indications b/c they may not be suitable for very young children. See a pediatric dentist soon do establish a dental home and answer your lingering questions.

Teething ring: Get the kind that you can chill in the refrigerator or freezer. Be very careful about analgesics and numbing salves. Follow package directions to the letter. Ask your Pediatrician for suggestions. Make an appointment with a Pediatric Dental Specialist. There's a lot that can be done. And by the way, NEVER put your child to bed with a bottle containing anything but water.
