Allergy?: The most likely diagnosis when you say "attacks happen a lot now" strongly suggests inhalant allergy. We are in the grass allergy season now and this immune mediated disease commonly produces a tickle in the throat and possible cough symptoms. Dryness of the throat is a totally different possibility. See an ENT doc or an allergist.
