Can be anything!: So she needs to see her doctor and have a physical exam done to isolate what's going on, and to have a physical exam involving an abdominal exam done. The inspection, palpation and percussion of this area will give great information, and determine if imaging is needed. The ovary lives there, colon, spleen, sciatic nerve, uterus referred pain too.So she may need to be worked up for pregnancy too.

Abdominal pain: Get an evaluation. It could be an ovarian cyst or an ectopic pregnancy. Less likely for your age would be diverticulitis, an outpouching of the intestine which can trap food or debris, resulting in inflammation or infection.
