Severe stomach pain: The stomach is located just below your rib cage. Pain in this area could be from gastritis, peptic ulcer, gallbladder, pancreas, etc. There are many possibilities some of which can lead to a bad outcome if not addressed and treated by a medical professional in a timely fashion. Unexplained severe abdominal pain is a very good reason to go to the er. The pain killers could be hurting you more.
