Pregnancy catagory C: which means there is insufficient evidence to determine risk but excludes known harm to the baby. It is primarily used to stop premature labor, and has a high efficacy there. Having a preterm infant at 22 weeks is certainly more risk to the baby. Did the doctor discuss his/her concern that the vaginal discharge suggested preterm labor?? Please clarify this with the doctor.
