Could be thrush: White plaques which do not come off easily could be thrush, a yeast infection of the mouth. It is especially common when you are taking certain medications or with certain immunologic conditions. There could be other causes, or it could be something else. Best to get it checked out. All it may take is a mouth swab for diagnosis & medicinal mouthwash for treatment. Good luck, thanks from HealthTap
