Unknown-ask your Doc: But current guidelines are including complete Fallopian tube removal with hysterectomy or even sterilization procedures. It is increasingly apparent that quite a few ovarian cancers may have originated from the Fallopian tube and the trend is to completely remove them if not needed, even if the ovaries are kept. Soon, consent will or should include benefits of bilateral tube removal.
