First time for this?: It is said that olfactory hallucinations can sometimes be a manifesatation of a mass lesion in a place called the olfactory bulb or the olfactory groove region of the brain and that rubber burning is the commonly described smell related. Therefore, if this is the first time this is happening it is a good idea to see not only your GP but also a neurologist since other things could be happening.
