Tricky: these sort of conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. BUToften due to a line where teeth hit the tongue. This varies with why it occurred. Mostly, a dental problem that is going to recur a lot. Mouthguard, looking into why it occurs OR if the tongue was temporarily swollen, it will go away on its own.
