I'm a 45 yr. old female .the past 2 weeks i've been waking up around 3-5 a.m.. i know its not enough sleep. hours to fall asleep again.what is it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Many possiblities: Waking up too early can have many causes from anxiety to substance use. Here are some things to try. Do not use anything with caffeine 12 hours before going to bed. Do not use any electronics 3 hours before bedtime. Exercise early in the day, not before bedtime. If you smoke do not smoke 3 hours before bed. Try a 25 mg benadryl (diphenhydramine) before sleep. If these do not work, see your doctor.
