I would take it easy: Remember your body needs time to convalesce and heal. While remaining active is still important for good health, during an acute illness I would encouraged you to tone down activity, as there are multiple studies to suggest that vigorous exercise suppresses your immune system. So why take any undue risks. If you still really want to exercise vigorously run it by the doctor treating you.
