Chronic PPI use: Chronic use of nexium (esomeprazole) and related agents are not known to cause polyps, bur may cause atrophy of the mucosa and interfere with absorption of electrolytes, it has been reported increased incidence of pneumonia, osteoporosis , b12 deficienecy
