Scaphoid fracture. : I would avoid all activity that can "jerk" the bone or worsen the injury. Shooting a high caliber weapon can definitely worsen it.

Review this your doc: Remember the cast may absob some vibration but you're still likely to have some vibration to your healing bone. Why not talk with the doctor who casted your fracture. But until you can, I would encourage you to hold off on shooting guns.
