Possibly?: The main thing is for your daughter to be seen by a doctor to figure out why this is occurring. She needs a proper history and physical exam, possibly including some ultrasound imaging. There are a number of reasons why this could be, including polycystic ovarian syndrome. As doctors, we try to approach a problem by trying to treat the underlying cause, not just the symptoms.
