Perhaps a hernia: It may relate to the recent constipation. You may have pulled some muscles or irritated some nerves in the area. There are items called trusses that can be worn to hold the area still like an elbow or wrist brace. It may heal itself w/ this sort of rest if you're in generally good health. Or you may need to wear it long-term especially for activities. Consider an exam.

Inguinal pain: Any condition causing increased abdominal pressure can result in an inguinal hernia in a male. Chronic cough, constipation & heavy lifting all cause increased abdominal pressure. The cause of these conditions needs to be evaluated & treated before a hernia is repaired.
