First gyne appt: It is generally recommended that women start seeing a gynecologist for routine exams once they become sexually active, if having problems with the menstrual cycle, or seeking birth control. Approaching you father with a mature discussion, with an explanation of your reasoning, would be the preferred approach. Most parents welcome open communication from their teenagers.

Talk to a lady frien: perhaps there is a woman who understands and can talk to him or you can explain that at your age you want a gynecologist to tell you about your female health. Also other questions to answer.
