More info: The most common scaphoid injury is a LIGAMENT pull or sprain (small tear) Fracture is less common and a good deal of swelling and bruising would be seen REST..ICE ELEVATE and Ibuprofen may help. Xray is next step Hope this helps Dr Z

Possible: Did you do something to injury it? If yes then you should get it X-rayed. Scaphoid fractures need close attention to prevent a complication from the fracture called avascular necrosis.
