Small: amount is common, but , I still want my pts to inform me so that we can make sure it is not serious. If you have had intercourse in the last couple of days, this would be common. If she is having pain, or the bleeding is worsening, go in and get checked

needs an ultrasound: It can be normal but its better to check for conditions like placenta previa or abruption by ultrasound.
