No: Villous adenomas are benign. They are considered pre-malignant, but not cancer. In-situ is the earliest stage of cancer, Stage 0. The two are definitely different.

All Villous Hist rem: Polyp size is a critical biomarker for clinical management.. Cancer was present in about 1% of adenomas smaller than 1 cm, 10% of 1–2 cm adenomas, and nearly 50 % in polyps >2 cms. Villous histology increases chance of cancer .The serrated adenoma pathway is an alternate pathway to cancer in addition to the adenoma-carcinoma sequence , 20 % develop CRC Cancer via SA pathway, mostly on right side.
