See below: Yes, usually the rash caused by scabies is red and bumpy, but can be bumpy without the redness. In severe cases it can progress past the point of redness and consist of thick scaly lesions. Since it is very itchy, it often appears scabbed secondary to the scratching accompanying it.

Can be: Scabies looks like lines of burrows on skin made with little mounds or blisters. They cause itching which is often worse at night. Although they can be anywhere on skin they like going into skin folds (waistline, axilla, breasts, between fingers, feet, wrists, knees, elbows,buttocks & genitalia.
