Baseline: This is mostly for baseline evaluation of uterus and ovaries. Typically uterine lining would be thin as it is being shed and ovaries will not have any growing large follicles that can be potentially confused with cysts. Also, if undergoing fertility treatment, this allows for decision making prior to initiating fertility therapy.
