Mucousy discharge: The vagina naturally produces discharge as lubricant, cleaning agent, immune agent and as a response to sexual stimulation. It also can signify an infection depending on the color/odor. Mucous from the anus can signify conditions that will require attention either from a medical professional or from you in improving your diet, increasing your intake of a clean healthy diet.

If it persists > Dr.: A clear white discharge is more likely to be vaginal rather than rectal in origin. A vaginal yeast infection (candida) is often accompanied by a whitish vaginal discharge and vaginal itching. If an abnormal vaginal discharge persists you should consult your physician. You may need a vaginal exam and possible culture.
