How long gerd will take to cause throat cancer? i have acidity and reoccurring throat pain. could it be throat cancer?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GERD: This has the potential to create a Barrett's esophagus, which is a precancerous condition. You can treat the GERD with H2 blockers, but best to see a gastroenterologist, be endoscoped and treated for H. pylori if present. They can also tell you if there is any reason to worry about cancer.
