Periods: First of all a normal cycle is felt to be 7 days. If you have cycles that only last 2-3 days then had brown dicharge 3 days later this could still be consistant with a normal cycle. It just took longer for the remain flow in the vaginal canal to be expelled. It is brown because it is old and has mixed with our vaginal secretions. It could also be associated with other medical problems
