A member asked:

Can yeast borrow to bladder/kidneys?i test neg. for yeast yet still have irritation & difficulty urinating. also no white blood cells and neg.for uti

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yeast infection: The growth of yeast on skin and mucous membranes causies vulvovaginitis with inflammation of the tissues due to products of these organisms and their growth. This inflammatory reaction can cause swelling and sensitivity of the tissues without invading the urinary tract. What you are experiencing is common. Many of the meds for this contain topical steroids to help ameliorate these symptoms.
