Not necessarily: There are many causes of foul smelling stool, e.g., fat malabsorption, c. Difficile infection, certain foods that bring undigested material to colon, e.g. Bean; overeating in general. Vast majority of the time this symptoms is not related to colon cancer.

Probably not, but...: There can be many reasons for changes in the odor of stool. Diet and medications are just a few. If there is a change that seems to persist for longer than a week or two, see your doctor for a discussion.
